This was very easy to install No tools required. This is my 3rd dog door I have ordered! They are quality made and so easy to install! Customer Service is excellent (& you even get the owner of the store!) I really like the Sliding glass door option but until I buy a house of my own, the Ideal Fit Panel will work just fine! Thanks for making a great product! Took a chance bought the door took longer to unpack it than to install it! Great door dog loves it! I called the store, and they told me how to remove the top piece and have it trimmed to fit my patio door. When it arrived, my patio door had an extra space at the bottom in which it wouldn' t quite fit. I viewed the video, and it seemed very easy to install. It functions more reliably with short legged dogs since the collar key needs to get near the bottom of the flap which is about 5 " off the ground to trigger the electronic lock. There is also an electronic E-Cat version which will work with cats and small dogs. The small has the typical slide in locking cover.
It can be set for In Only, Out Only, Locked, or Open. The difference between the Cat Flap size and the small sizes is that the Cat Flap has a 4 way lock. Every Ideal pet door comes with a limited lifetime warranty. This is a no-tools installation, although the included pin lock does require drilling.
